Re: New niro
Which version of the Niro are you getting: HEV, PHEV or EV? I ask because if its the PHEV you won't be able to carry a spare wheel, because the traction battery occupies the space under the boot. I'm not sure what arrangements there may be in the HEV and EV, or what options those models have for spa...

Re: Charging Issues with Octopus
Judging by what has been posted on another forum (Kia Owners Club) many people have had problems with Intelligent Octopus not talking to Kia Niros properly. And Kia are definitely aware of this. The Niro seems to be added to, and then dropped from the list of compatible vehicles with monotonous regu...

Re: eNiro Reversing beep
There has been a lot of discussion about this on another forum (Kia Owners Club), and no solutions offered; apparently its a case of "put up with it: both you and your neighbours!". For what its worth, Kia seem to have heard the complaints, because the new Niro (like mine) has a very much ...

Re: Niro 2 PHEV scheduled charging
My PHEV charges from almost empty to full in well under three hours using my Wallbox Pulsar Plus charger (7KW), so I don't know why your car thinks it would take over 5 hours. I've never used the three-pin charger, so can't give a comparative charging time for that. Admittedly my car is a Niro 4, bu...

Re: Towing a caravan
No experience of towing, (no towbar fitted to mine) but for what its worth... I find that if I drive in HEV mode (as opposed to HEV Auto) the battery stays well charged (at least 90%) at all times, so there is always plenty of battery assist available for steep hills etc. The car thus behaves like a...

Re: Does the Niro EV come with mats as standard?
They appear in listings of accessories, so will be optional extras. When I ordered my Niro 4 PHEV I ordered the mats at the same time, and was not told that was unnecessary. Cost was £77.

Eagerly awaiting new Niro 4 PHEV
Just entering the world of plug-in hybrid motoring by ordering a 72 plate Niro 4 PHEV in Steel Grey for delivery late November/early December 2022. For the last seven years our main car has been a Skoda Yeti 1.2 TSi with DSG transmission. We feel it needs to be semi-retired now, and become our secon...
