Re: EV mileage and noise

@neil It’s more fair to judge range and efficiency based upon tank to tank measurements and calculated from trip recorded miles. The range data on the dashboard is an estimate based upon several factors. 1, Previous fuel consumption history logged by computer 2. Fuel level measurement (which in itse...

Tailgate Struts - tailgate not lifting fully/slowly

At this stage, vehicle is 15 months old and covered 36000 miles. Whilst the tailgate is certainly used often it is disappointing to find that in such a short period of time that the gas struts are weakening. Next service is due soon where I trust Kia will change them. With temperature changes the ta...

HEV Fuel flap release

Noticed that 1/2 the times I refuel the fuel flap sticks. A few taps of the button sometimes works (the solenoid always seems to make the same sound) but other occasions tapping the flap externally is required to free the lock. Will be bringing this up at next service or sooner if becomes more of an...

Re: Brake release.

I have had the same panic at junctions when the car does not respond as quick as desired. Often when coming to stop and if Power is required again very quickly it’s as if there is a delay in the car processing what you wish to do or perhaps a delay in selecting correct gear. Doesn’t happen often but...

Re: New Member

Hi Hopp,
Glad you are enjoying the Niro 4 - I am perplexed as to how your car was delivered before mine, when I ordered a First Edition, which was discontinued to start production of the 4!??

Hope you continue to enjoy the new car.

Re: Creaks and groans

I would agree with others here stating that the brakes are the likely cause. It is common to hear rear brakes doing this in regular cars as the forces are less at the rear and depending on the user and or brake balance the disks/pads can gather dust and make noise. This is more likely on vehicles wi...

It’s now mid October and the car still hasn’t arrived at the dealer. 5 months and counting. Told end of Aug Then mid September Then mid Oct - its Mid October - no car. Christmas??? In hi...
