That is a valid point, petrol does go off, in a car how long would it take to make a significant difference?
The longest I have gone without using petrol would be about 12 weeks, I did not think about degradation , but the fact that I was transporting a significant weight about needlessly

While they is condensation on the windscreen , a blast from the demister clears it in about 30 seconds, then I just close the fan down to 1 and it keeps the windscreen clear, and the engine does not run.

Yes John I have a PHEV but I also have solar panels, I would not have bought it if I could not charge it fully in summer and about half in winter from solar. It works quite well for us as we live between our 2 nearest towns and can visit both there and back on a charge. when on holiday or longer jou...

The Sat Nav does take post codes, however if you put in the "post code " and the street or estate is not on the maps I doubt it will be of use to you

You can charge like you say from a 13 amp plug which is supplied with the car, although it is recommended as an emergency, there is at least one poster on this forum who uses nothing else. It does take longer to charge than a fixed charger If you can use a 13 amp cable why could you not get a fixed ...
