Re: Battery Life??
If your going to leaver your car unused for more than 3 months , there is a switch on the fuse panel ( driver Side ) , this will switch off the sat nav , as the sat nav is always on and can't be switched off , until you flick the switch on the fuse panel . But if you do do this , you will have to re...

Re: annoying (for me) chime
I agree , but there is no option i know of to turn them off . You could ask the KIA dealer if they can be turned off , but to be honest , i very doubt they will be interested .
Try KIA UK , send them an e-mail , and see what they say .

Re: Hello
Hi UpNorth .... Welcome . I looked at the Toyota C-HR Hybrid EX , nice car but at £28.400 its way to expensive , as really all it is a Auris with a fancy coat on , and not all that piratical .... I'm very happy with my Niro 2 , and everyone on here will agree , its a joy to drive . My average MPG is...

Re: Key fob battery
I have had the same problem after 3 months . took the car back to the garage , but all he did was re-program the key , it was ok for a small amount of time .. So now I'm using the spare key , and all is well . Sounds like there could be a bad batch of key fobs for the Niro 2 .

Re: MY18 build date
Doesn't a healthy lead acid battery actually deliver about 13.2 volts anyway though? Or am I getting it mixed up? No.. A good 12 volt lead acid battery will show between 12.5 volts to 12.8 volts ..... 2 volts can make all the difference in electronics .... I have never had any problems with my batt...

Re: MY18 build date
Its quite interesting why Kia are removing the 12v battery , and replacing it with a Lipo battery , as you can't get 12 volts from a lipo battery . A 3S (cell) battery is 11.1 volts , and a 4S is 14.8 Volts , so there must be some kind of regulation to get 12 Volts , or they have changed many things...

Re: Anybody spotted a PHEV in the UK?
The one i have seen has different head lights , it has a separate low beam and a high beam , but the overall shape is the same , the silver front and rear trim is blue metallic , and the dash clocks look different , but if one did pass you , i very doubt you would notice .

Re: How is the car on steep grades?
Regarding the bad weather , no matter what front wheel drive car you have , they will be the same , and a lot better than a rear wheel drive car , especially in the snow .... At the current state with Lithium battery's , and wanting a car to do 300 miles , there won't be any room for a boot ,unless ...
