Could I ask PHEV owners to do a check for me please. The power flap on the N/S front wing is locked when all the car doors are locked, the check I would like you to do is this, with all the car doors locked & the power flap locked will the flap when a hand presses it become slightly open. This is what is happening to my Niro & it doesn't seem to be correct, the flap is still locked but slightly open, this appears to me that water could get in or try to be pulled to open. My Kia dealers don't appear to have an answer.Thank you.

Yes if you press it when the car is locked it will open 1/2 an inch, if you press again it will return to locked. It will not fully open when the car is locked.

Thank you for the reply Radar 2018, exactly what is happening on my Niro, I have it booked in for examination but if it is the norm it will be a waste of time. That is why I asked other owners to check if they had the time. I would have thought locked means that, just like the fuel filler flap which is locked tightly.
