Hi all you Niro owners.
Ordered a new Niro 4 for collection in early March (new plates), so is there anything I should watch our for or be aware of after I have taken delivery?
Also, I see on the Kia website that there are free map updates for seven years. Is this something I need to push my dealer to do?
Thanks
New here, so Hi all

The updates are free but you have to pay £25 as set by Kia to have them installed by the dealer unless you can like me have them install FOC when having a service.
How far did you have to twist their arm to get a free update? a little way or full force.Recycleman wrote: ↑Wed Dec 18, 2019 8:32 pm The updates are free but you have to pay £25 as set by Kia to have them installed by the dealer unless you can like me have them install FOC when having a service.
I tried and failed the first one would not do it, at all, and I have had to pay the second one the £25

I also got my map update for free as it was done at the same time as a service. This was at GWR Kia in Brentford.
However, I recommend skipping the built-in maps if you can and use the Waze app for Android or iOS using the built-in Android Auto or Apple CarPlay feature. Much more up to date maps, better traffic avoidance, and you get the other benefits of Android Auto/Apple CarPlay.

No twisting of arms, so long as I have it done with the service it's FOCradar2018 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 18, 2019 9:37 pmHow far did you have to twist their arm to get a free update? a little way or full force.Recycleman wrote: ↑Wed Dec 18, 2019 8:32 pm The updates are free but you have to pay £25 as set by Kia to have them installed by the dealer unless you can like me have them install FOC when having a service.
