Just had my Niro HEV 4 for a week now. My last two cars has been Nissan Qashqai.
The good points on the Niro is the economy, on a decent run the Niro is around 12 to 14 mpg better around town is a lot more.
The Niro is a better ride but I could put that down to the 18inch wheels compared with 19inch wheels on the Qashqai.
The problem I have with the Niro as I am used to have a higher driving position I have adjusted the Niro seats so they are higher. When I am driving I find that the steering wheel blocks my view of the speed as it is on the far right of the display. The Qashqai I could have the speed displaying in the center of the display.
The main problem and I suppose you never miss it unless you have had it is the 360 degree view when in reverse or if the front sensor has been activated. I did not think I would miss it but as I reverse into my garage every night and it is narrow I need the nearside door mirror in the normal position to see the side of the garage. I adjusted the mirror after it had tilted and now they are all over the place. Sometimes the driver side tilts and the nearside doesn't but I need it when parking next to the curb, then sometimes they don't tilt at all. This afternoon the drivers side was tilted but the nearside normal. I've looked in the manual but I cannot find anything about the door mirrors.

Ref the driving position, the steering column adjusts up and down, lever on left side of column. My older Niro doesn't have tilting mirrors so can't help. That said, I always rely on the reversing camera and guidelines which allow me to reverse into my garage or park close to the kerb without using door mirrors. It took a while for me to gain full confidence, you've only had yours a week. Great colour choice!

Thanks Alan. yes I lowered the steering wheel and raised the seat and that has caused the problem. I've messed around with the mirror switches and they now stay in the normal position when in reverse. It's just getting used to the different set up.

Puzzling : If you raise the seat I would have thought that you would also adjust the steering wheel height so that you can see all the instruments? Or is there a seat height where this is not possible?

"The Qashqai I could have the speed displaying in the center of the display. "
I have this feature on my Niro, I just change the drivers Info window, in the middle of the drivers by toggling the setting on the steering wheel and choosing between Navigation, Drivers Tiredness, Economy or Digital Speedo
