Open hood sign on dashboard

Hello

Does anyone noticed like an open hood sign keep coming on dashboard from time to time in the place of the sign saying how much petrol left in the car?

I'm presuming the hood isn't actually partly open......
Presumably you're referring to the " Range xxxx miles" 'sign'. I've never seen this display anything other than the range....post a photo and we'll try to work out what you're on about,..
