I have a 2024 Niro PHEV. My driveway has a slight incline towards the house. Normally i back into driveway when parking. However last few nights with frost around I have driven in to driveway giving car some shelter. The EPB is on auto.
Last 2 mornings I have gotten into car after unplugging from wall charger put on seat belt and turned car on in EV mode. Put into reverse and when accelerator pressed car refused to move and starts shaking. I have turned off the car then turned on again and no issue. This morning same thing happened again and also while reversing I had to stop half way up drive due to postman walking onto driveway. Did not take it out of reverse and autohold did engage. Pushed accelerator and again the rocking. Turned off car and restarted and it worked ok. Have contacted dealer who says he never has encountered this before and will take car in next week. This is the only situation where this happens and never had this with my 2020 model which I had for 4 years.
Anyone encountered this ?
Gracias.

The only, possibly unhelpful, comment I can make is that the other day I mistakenly applied the EPB on my level drive.
I normally only put it in 'park'.
When I drove off (just letting the reverse motion release the brake) the car shuddered and there was a loud 'clonk' from the rear wheels.
As I drove forwards I tried the brakes and there was a grinding noise which proved what I had thought caused it. The discs had rusted over night in the dreadful rain we have all had to put up with.
After a couple of applications the rust is removed by the pads.
There are tiny flecks of steel in brake discs and that is why you often get the rust problem in foul weather.

Should have said the incline is down towards the house so when reversing car is going up the incline
