Well this is an interesting one.
Kia e Niro 64kw 2020.
I did the infotainment and sat nav upgrade at home with a usb stick. Worked a treat and everything is good.
The only anomaly is the FCA. On my daily commute I drive into a long dip in a road (300 yards from start of dip to the plateau at the other end). Usually at the very bottom of the dip my FCA activates and stays on saying, 'FCA fault, contact dealer' etc.,. This cannot be reset until the car is switched off and on again. It doesn't do this on any other road. I've driven to work on different routes plenty of times to test this and it still didn't go off. The moment I go into the dip on this specific route it activates again. (my wife has a kia e-soul, did the update on hers, and it doesn't activate on hers, just mine).
I've even been in touch with national road network to report it may be something in the road surface or by the road side, making it activate with a reflection or something but they insist it's not a fault they have had reported before.
It can't just be me surely? Same place, same road every single time?
Does anybody else have false FCA warnings at certain points on their commutes?
P. S. This only started after the update was installed. Is it worth redoing the install to see if it clears or admitting defeat and taking it to the main dealer for a hefty fee to reset or repair the FCA?
Thanks guys.
