Can anyone tell me if it is possible to 'put the key to sleep', to save the battery and stop key 'cloning'? Especially useful for the spare key.
Thanks,

I can't imagine how this could be achieved. My wife and I keep our keys in a metal box (coffee tin) that acts as a faraday cage blocking the keys' radio pulses. It also disciplines me to put the keys in one place instead of wherever, was always losing them.....our keys are two years old now and still going strong, batteries cheap.

Thanks,
I have my spare in a Faraday wallet.
I don't want o find my spare key battery flat when I need to use it, as has happened in the past.
My Skoda's keys could be put to sleep by pressing both buttons at once and holding for a couple of seconds. To wake it up you just have to press any button as normal.
