.......Quite possibly on the later models but either check with your dealer or do the fingertip check outlined in red .
There was a long discussion on 'Niro ev' Forum regarding old shape eNiro. To jack or not to jack.
Their post was closed so here it is for info of members here.
I bought a spacesaver for my eNiro (71) and they supplied extending wrench and scissor jack. Which REALLY DID NOT LIKE what I asked it to do it almost buckled. My son used his 2ton trolley jack on the jacking points with no problems I have done 1000 mile since with no problems, so My Kia dealer (mechanic) was correct in as much as there is no problem as long as you use the jacking points.
If you have a spacesaver, make sure you use a jack with at least a 2ton capability. (Bottle jacks are not expensive)
Run your fingers along the welded seam behind the cill. Just in front of the back wheels and just behind the front wheels you will find a 'nick' in the seam, that is the centre of the jacking point.

I'm puzzled what you're saying here, Colin. Did the scissor jack nearly buckle because you didn't use the correct jacking point.? I've used scissor jacks for years, including the one supplied with my third-party space saver wheel for my Niro, and have never had any problems, provided the jacking point is used and the jack is set as vertical as practical.

Alan,
Sorry for the confusion.
My post was regarding the eNiro (as in the subject line.)
Having been assured (& shown the position of the jacking points) by the dealer mechanic I did, of course, use the correct ones.
Regarding the scissor jack.
1. the eNiro weighs 2200Kg the ICE Niro weighs approximately 1490Kg. Almost HALF the weight of the eNiro.
2. Scissor jacks vary in capacity and quality.
The one I was using was the one which came free with the spacesaver and was pretty 'cheap & nasty'. I have a genuine VAG scissor jack from my Skoda and it is a completely different piece of kit & is far better quality and made of far thicker steel.
Hope this clears up the misunderstanding.

Read my posts above, they should answer your question.
If not please say why my explanation does not answer your question and I will try and help.
To find the jacking points..... feel along under the cills and on the welded seam you will feel an indentation. roughly
a foot in front of the back wheels and a foot behind the front wheels.
The indentation is the central location of the jacking points.
